Title: Air filter
Post by: Le Mirage on September 18, 2006, 01:50:11 PM
Hi gang! (sorry for my poor english)
This week-end, after you read you,† I have cleaned the air filter on my 8-92. Curiously, I† have discovered the oil in the tub with 1 inch soil(?).
Questions:
What oil you put in? Same oil that in the motor? 15-40? Can I put used oil (after filtered?) in the tub?
And the filter around the casing, do you clean it so? If affirmative, how?
So, I have cleaned the duck in the center of the casing (ouach!). Oil, dust and soil was sticking on the "wall". I think that, there is more time, the cleaning was not to do. I have the bus only since 2 years and I am in processing of converted.
I hope you understand me...sorry
Thanks!

Hi Gaetan ...you should be running 40 weight in your detroil diesel... here's a link

You could run the same motor oil that you use in your car 10-30 in your air filter

PS  Are you the guy that fabricated and install 2 slide-out in your Prevost?
