I am still on my way back from BusN USA.

I got to Ogden a little early (pick up Pat tonight from her convention) and decided to go to a truck wrecking yard to look for a part.  Found a truck with an AutoShift and had to ask what he wanted for it.  He said $3500 for the complete package plus some sort of core (HT740 was OK with him).  I think that is a pretty good price.

Now, for the good news (and just what you engine conversion wantabes need)!!

He has 22 trucks coming in with ISM 400 HP/AutoShift combinations!!  As most of you know, the ISM can go in an Eagle (and perhaps other buses) with no need to raise the bed.  These would make a heck of a conversion.  He said that if the person wants it all, he will sell the truck less the rear ends.  That would give you most everything you need for the conversion.  Didnít ask price.

That sounds interesting...  I have so much else to do on my bus I will probably holds off... I am upto 15K on an out of frame, so I can't justify it on those grounds... I just want to zap up the hills faster!  Once a hot rodder, always a hot rodder. Smiley
