I know this is a little early, but you might want to mark your calendars for our fourth annual Texas Bus Roundup.

Dates are September 30th through October 3, 2010. This puts us as the first rally, with the Eagle Rally in Branson and Christy Hicks rally at Carthage following close behind. So if you're in the mood to attend all three, here's your opportunity.

Sonnie Gray has found a new location for us. The owner has set aside 40 sites with more available if we need them You do not need to make reservations, pay upon arrival. Just tell them you are with the Texas Bus Roundup group. Although the cost is a little higher, I'm sure you will agree it is well worth it. It is brand new and has a large enclosed meeting area with a full kitchen, very large pull throughs with full hookups sites available. Check it out here http://www.koa.com/where/ok/36135/

I will be sending out a registration form sometime next year so we can get an idea on a head count for meals. John and Tami Rigby have volunteered to take care of all meals. I guess they felt sorry for me!  Grin

We will have a professional photographer, Wendy Crosby, in charge of taking all of the pictures. She graciously volunteered her services, with a little coaxing from me. Wink Her and her husband attending our rally for the first time this year and they are in the process of looking for their very first bus conversion.

Darrin Bruner and his wife Cynthia have agreed to provide the Welcome package for everyone. A bag full of goodies with a schedule inside. These will be handed out when you arrive.

That's all for now, I will be adding or changing this thread if necessary as we get closer to the date.

We now have a website set up with only the Home page working. I will be adding more pages as I build it. www.texasbusroundup.com This is my first one building it from scratch so be kind.  Wink

Happy Trails,

Paul

OK Bus Nuts, here's more information!

I just spoke with the manager at the KOA, our cost is $25 per night. Which is much better than what I saw online. Pay upon arrival.

Rally Cost: $50 per coach

This will include two meals for two people.

Send Registration Attendance information and fees to:

Paul Lawry

1071 N Judge Ely Blvd

PMB 6462

Abilene, TX 79601

If mailing after the August 31st deadline, please add $15.

We will have T shirts, just don't the cost yet as the vendor has not let me know. Thinking between $10-15 each.

I received a phone call from John Rigby today, they are not able to attend TBR this year. Other commitments came up that make it impossible for him and his wife Tami to attend. It was good of them to offer to do the work, but as always there is a plan B.

They have been there for two years, and will be missed!

With that in mind, there is a change in plans.

We are changing the two meals to potluck on Friday and Saturday evening. Salads, meats, side dishes, dessert etc.

We still will have an arrival BBQ on Thursday evening around 6pm. The cost for that will be $10 per coach. BYOB

Other than that, Happy Trails!  Smiley

Hi All,

Choctaw KOA is very nice. We have stayed there many times. Paved roadways, grass at your site with a BBQ Grill at each site.  Trash pick up daily, 5' salt water pool.  Shower facilities available for your use, before pool, after pool, etc.  We have stayed there several times and always have some of Paige's friends over.  They have a blast.  Speed limit is 10-15 so you are safe while walking, etc.  Cold weather or hot weather, they have an inside hall for eating and meeting.  The casino shuttle comes through every hour to drop off and pick up 24-7.

Paul, I saw your post, we won't be their for meals, some of us have to work.  Cry  BUT, we have already reserved our spot so we will see everyone there.

Regarding fees, please share again if I am not correct.  It appears that it is $10.00 for hamburger/hot dog night?  Paige is back in school so we won't be there for that meal either.

Just let us know the scoop.
Thanks,
BB

Hi Brenda,

Yes, the $10 per coach is for the arrival BBQ. I'm sorry you won't be there for the meals, we'll miss you. Hoping you can spend some time with us when you're not working. Tell Paige Hi from Becky and I.

It's good to hear feedback on our new location. The pictures look good but you never know. With Sonnie picking out the spot I knew it would be great.

See y'all in a few weeks!

I'm ready to hit the start button Now! Cool
