Ok the guy is in the navy and he is working on one of the aircraft tractors. He is trying to blow out his ear drums to collect disability.

Van ask him if he remembers how to service Leece Neville alternators.  Mine's still working but I think it could stand a bit of TLC.  Mind you his shop and yard are likely full of broken Eagles so maybe there's no room for one worn out frenchy-bus.
