Even if there was length reciprocity, only four states allow significant lengths over 45' (Two allow 46') per the link another poster provided.  Until the last year or two the state of Minnesota still only allowed a total length with trailer of 65'.  I have heard stories of RVers stopped just shortly after crossing into Minnesota and ticketed for over length under the old rules.

45' motorhomes are technically illegal in quite a few states, but luckily I have never been stopped.  I didn't realize any state besides California still has restrictions on motorhomes over 40 feet.
