So many questions....actually just one re skinner valve electrical plug.

My skinner valve has a 1/2" female socket that requires the male member (?) to have have 2 holes in it for the 2 male pins that are inside the female 1/2" socket.  Still with me?  So I need the male member to insert into the female socket, is this a common plug?  I looked around the transits and the prevost and they  all had a bisexual male plug ( i.e. 1 hole , 1 pin).  Previously I had haywired a couple of pin connectors but it was very temporary.  So can I find this somewhere easily?  Where?  If you understood this post then a picture in this case was worth, aprox 85 words.

Yes, but you will have an easier time finding it if you use the standard terminology.  The side with the pins is called the male end, and the side with the holes is the female end.  It does not matter that there is an outer case on the male end that encloses the female end.

It's probably a "Cannon" plug, but how 'bout you post a photo or two, maybe we can identify it.

That's actually called "hermaphroditic."

I forgot to take a pic.  The canon plug I remember has 3 pins, no come to think of it those were called XLR.... just googled it, I now know more...when will I learn to google first?

 So in the  illustration, I do not have 8  while 13 is intact.



Like I said before I jerry rigged something up but would like something better seeing as this controls the engine and all. kind of looks like this.

I think that's going to be a 2-pin Cannon, like this one:

XLR is something different entirely, although that was also invented by Cannon and is still called that by some really old hands.

No way to know for certain without measuring everything, or grabbing one from an identical valve.
