We see them all the time.  Bogus emails purportedly from PayPal, eBay, various banks and email providers.  Supposedly from them indicating a problem and click on a link or attachement to remedy it.  One just landed in my spam box that is purportedly from us.  It is not.  If you receive such an email, delete it and definitely don't open the attachment.  No telling what critters await in it.

Further, it is ill advised to open any attachment you receive from anyone unless you already were expecting it from that person and you are certain that the email it is in is legitimate.  Files ending with .pdf, .jpg or .jpeg are pretty safe as far as I know.  .gif is usually fine, but I do recall a few years back there was even a bug spread through it.  The various video formats have been known to carry virii too.   But .zip, .doc, .xls, .ppt, .ppt can definitely harbor various bugs.

Under no circumstances is it a good idea to open one that ends with .exe, .bat, .dat, .htm, .html.  Those are very high risk and if infected can do serous damage to your operating system and/or Internet software.

Thanks for getting the word out on this Mike!

Busconversions.com has / will not send out an email telling everyone to run a file on their PC - so if you receive something like that - it's not from us!

You're always welcome to post a question here as well if you are concerned about something like this that may look like it's from busconversions.com.

Be safe out there!

Kind Regards, Phil

Now my feelings are hurt. I finally got a email, with a present in it from BCM. I was so excited to finally get something to me personally, and I find out it was a fake?  Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin.

Just kidding. I didn't get any email.

Thanks for staying on top of this kind of stuff, Mike.

God bless,
