Its new, and from a transit bus shop that sold a bunch of older v-drives.

What tilt is it you tell by the oil return on the flange stand the compressor up with the oil return at the bottom and you can tell, the model number is what people need they came in tilts of 0,45,52,and 78 degrees if it is a 45 degrees I know a guy that needs one now.
also does it have flange mount they also came in a base mount with belt drive the flange mounts are gear driven that is what he needs fwiw if the model number or P/N has a x it will be a 52 degree Y will be a 45 degree for the flange mount if no lettering after the P/N pretty sure that one is 0 tilt

This whole Tu-Flo 700 discussion (here and on my for sale listing:  http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=17270.0 ) has me confused (not a hard thing to do Grin). 

I just went out an looked at mine again, and it has the oil supply plumbed into the end cap at what looks like the center line of the crank.  There is no return line.  It looks like the oil is returned via the gear drive opening in the block.  If that is the case, is there a notch in the compressor housing that controls the level of the oil in the compressor? If there is a notch, can a new notch be ground for something other than vertical mount position on an Eagle?

Jim, there is not a notch it has a return cast into the compressor feel on the bottom and you will feel the valley it doesn't run out or over the flange but through a hole in the bell housing and the compressor those 2 holes have to be in alignment if the crank case on the compressor fill with oil it will blow the head off in short order no oil stays in the compressor what so ever and don't ask how I know about this LOL
