What a difference we have all expierenced since the new board has evolved. Even I, have forgotten how limited the old board was.

Cheers to Mike, Phil, and our team of Moderators for making it possible for what we have now!

Nick Badame

Here is a look at the final day's of the old Board....Sad...

Hey Nick - that sure brings back some memories.  Some of them weren't, uhm, well, happy.

But did meet a lot of great busnuts!   Grin   Unfortunately, we met almost as many spammers and hackers.   Angry

Now with this board, we are able to fend off the hackers with a few tools.  Makes all concerned much happer   Grin

Except spammers  Angry

Best Regards,
Phil

I would be interested in a comparison of traffic on the old board vs the new board because, unlike the previous poster, I get the "feeling" there is not as much traffic now.

Thanks

I would be interested in a comparison of traffic on the old board vs the new board because, unlike the previous poster, I get the "feeling" there is not as much traffic now.

I just did some quick calculations.  The new board has been live for about 20 weeks.  This means about 80 new topics a week minus some for topics posted during the testing phase.  The last week of the old MAK board had about 40 new topics, so new topics are up 50% to 100% depending on how many topics were posted during testing.

A few posters have left such as Fast Fred, but it appears he doesn't post on BNO either these days.  Most left because they say the new boards are too slow with dialup, but I know a few don't like the moderation here.  (I don't have any problem with the moderators and they don't seem to do anything if you post on bus topics and don't flame foks.)

The old MAK board absolutely sucked in the last few months.  Phil was rebuilding it alsmost daily at the end so posts disappeared and threading got all screwed up regularly.

Just to extend on Brian Elfert's post ....

I really appreciate all the hard work the moderators do on a daily basis on this board.  It is much more pleasurable to use and I really appreciate all of the extras that MAK has so kindly provided for us.

Thanks Mike K., Phil, Nick, BK, and others!

Good Job folks
Like an old dog, I did not like it at first (different than I was used to) just when I was getting used to the old board.
After some work with it I see how much better I can ues it.

Keep up the good work!  Smiley
