4103 Speedometer

Alright I had gotten some work done in the bus, still haven't touched the exterior lights, and still no camera!  but anywho, I was reading through the forum and seen somebody talking about a fuel gauge sender. It brought up my attention to the fact that the speedometer doesn't work in our bus. Where is the sender? How would I go abouts checking it out? I did search but didn't see anything, I'm guessing it's the same as any GM so figured I would start the topic.
BTW I finally removed the platform that was in the back of the bus to cover the walking isle but it was also 6 inches higher then where the seats once sat. Also it covered access spots but it was removed and it sure is nice to be able to walk to the end of the bus before having to duck. I'm 6'6" lol so I need that isle to be comfy.

Original PD4103's were either cable operated, or had an electrical unit to send the signal through wire to the speedometer.

In either case, the signal was taken from the transmission. There should be a speedometer connector on it viewable from the passenger side access door.

Mine, (ser. #1085), was cable operated, but I think the newer ones had the electric sender.

I can't post pictures but I'm gonna try explain. Is the sender on the top side of the transmission? I noticed a massive black thing coming out of the top closest to the front of the bus, output side going to rear diff, with wires running up into the destroyed rear engine panel. Is this the sender or something entirely different? No I'm not talking about the solenoid just so were clear  lol.

Here's a picture from the service manual. It's not very clear, but you should be able to tell with the numbers underneath. This is for the electrical speedometer in chapter 17 of the service manual.
