How kind of you all to think of me today but as it turns out it was a typical Hospital Aministration cluster muck. The new date is November 7th.

So, again thank you for your thoughts and prayers...but let's see what happens the next time.

What has happened is that Bobalooie has ben rescheduled until the 7th of next month.

I guess our prayers were answered, even if it wasn't what we thought it should be.

Hey NCBob,
Just a word of encouragement; My dad and mom both had this surgery and both have the best vision they have had in years with no side effects.  Total success!  Hope yours is the same!  Drive on!

My 83 year old Mom had both eyes done, (one at a time),  about 2 years ago..
She looks as good today.  Oops!!! I mean she sees  better today than she has in years.

Best wishes to you for a successful surgery!!

Happy & SAFE!!! Bussin' to ALL.

Bob, I'm gonna beat you to the knife!  I'm having cat surg Oct 31st.   All thru with the pre-ops and all.  Have no sight in the left eye (no eye!) so they're not going to tape me up.  I'm told I'll be able to see well enough to walk out of there.    I'll be sure and let you know what to expect.... Shocked Angry Cheesy Huh Cool Cry
The complication rate for cataract surg is low, and the surg only takes about 15 minutes per eye.   Reckon they've given you the spiel already.   My vision is so bad under certain conditions (daylight and dark mostly Wink) that driving was almost a thing of the past.  Have this problem seeing stop lights.
Had the  choice of going with good distance vision or closeup....chose the distance due to this need to drive to Arcadia this winter...  Feared the sight wouldn't have settled enough for corrections.   Wanted one of those teckky new "accomodating" lenses...you know, half price for me (plus my RN discount)...but because I'm half blind already doc sez no to that.
They'll dope you up good enough you won't give a rat's behind what they're doing (better living through chemistry!)...while they fix you anyway.  You'll see so much when you get your eyes fixed your brain won't be able to digest all the data!   Cheesy
FEAR NOT dude...this will make you SEE!   I have faith!
Wonder how much is the disability payment?  Anyone in need of a blind bluegrass bass player??   Grin
We'll pray for you Bob....you ain't gonna have any problems!!

Good Luck Bob!  JR   Cool

JR, couldn't help think of you in the tunnels on I-40 coming back from the Cumberland Gap area today.  I need to remove my glasses upon entering a lighted tunnel and coming out ot the sunlight...it's does weird things, man!  That right eye just seems to disappear into the back of my skull! Huh

Good Luck on your surgury...you'll be in our prayers also.  Jackie had both lenses changed and the eyelids corrected by the same Surgeon I'll be using so I have no concern that all will turn out well.

Won't it be great to see again? Grin

Bob, you remember how they screwed your surg dates up???  Well, they got me a week ahead and I'm gonna get cut AM tomorrow.   I'm all out of things to talk about anyway...been talking a little too much lately.. Wink
You're right about those tunnels...been thru the one up at Beckly several times recently...quite a transition.
BK, it ain't likely I'll be going anywhere this week.  Love to come up and meet ya'll...and catch Capt'n Rons Travelling Road Show.
I got my care package all ready to go...a 6 pack of Cronies.   I told the nurse I didn't like pain.
I'll catch ya'll as soon as I can see the keyboard again!
BTW, anyone know who Sawyers bought those 102D3s from?  They have a selection.   All S60s and B500s.  Make a nice conversion for someone....if not too beat up.  They also have a semi conversion started H3-40 for $56K.  Looks a little ratty by the pix....doors ajar...may just be they aren't closed?
Later, JR   Cool

Hey Bob;
I got my right eye done last Thursday, left eye on Nov.16.  It went easier than going to the dentist. I almost dozed off. Now I'll be able to see the faces of the people on the sidewalk when I drive through the puddles and soak them. Good luck! Jim.

 Cool

Jon,
That was suppose to be in November, but it's been put off for a while.

Besides, I can still walk a little. These guys are much more in need. Without their eyesight, They won't be able to drive the buses.

Hello-

I would like to offer both my Fam’ and my thoughts and prayers to all 3 of you-

My oldest attends Catholic school and prays everyday. The wife and I do church functions and also pray continuously. We hope this will help put you in good hands.

The best of wishes and God-speed to a full recovery-

The Phillips Fam’

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCKKKKKK!    Cheesy
And I can see....not perfect, but much better.   Cannot believe how easy this goes!
Only doing one eye so I'm done.
Not really supposed to "staring" at the computor, but...had to check what's going on.
Didn't really believe I'd be able to read the thing...but I can...much better than before.
Prior to my surg the glare from the screen was problematic.  Not anymore.
Appreciate all the thoughts...now we gotta focus all our energy on getting NCBob's and Jim's other eye "fixed"... Wink
Jim, how right you are with the "seeing" clearly now!  My distance vision is not perfect at 24 hours out, but everything's sooo much clearer.   And the lack of glare...remarkable!
Dallas I'm going to start praying for you too right now...first we'll get some of your more "recent"  Roll Eyes sins cleared up, and then we'll move on to your new "hinges!"   Got some work to do here.   I'll help you with scheduling so that your new knees don't conflict with the spring T'ville Rally!  'Course, Cat can handle it!  Wink
Best to Everyone!  JR   Cool

Thanks but it's simple foot surgery that I have had a problem with that has caused me not to want to walk or do much. ,Now's the time as without having it done means not being able to walk and Bud won't let me just sit around. On a positive note, SUsan says I can quit working full time and cut back to part time.Is there such a thing?
Anyway, thanks butno prayers are needed. I'll be ok in a day or two and back to my old self, besides God isn't ready for all this just yet:

Well I'm sitting here in THE room waiting for the doc. The receptionist/nurse just left and said "be still, the doc will be right in"! That was 10 minutes ago but I hear him in the other room with a problem patient so I knew I had time to post this.

Anyway, looks lkike I'll be out of here in no time and back walking the walk and talking the talk!  Grin

OOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I'm better now! It wasn't all that bad after all and the doc was funny too especially when i told him I changed my mind! He laughed pretty good zat that one. Then he observed me packing away my blackberry (my away from home posting machine) and asked many questions about it. By this time the sweat was drying up on every crevice I own along withmy hands and we discussed his bad back, my tennis elbow, then on to his and mine (not so good) golf game. THEN he said "ok lay back" and after that, I don't remember too much but I was soon told to get up and see the receptionist to pay the bill. Glad that was over with!

I drove home and took a nap! Now I'm hungry!

Yea a true bus nut thru and thru!

An old one at that, with a minor tune up just completed on half his drive train!  Roll Eyes
