I have PD 4104 number 960 and live in Lancaster NH. I am looking to see if anybody might know the history of this coach? I am looking the period from 1953 thru 1977 when the former owner purchased it from Conestoga Coach in Pa. Thanks!

I am looking the period from 1953 thru 1977 when the former owner purchased it from Conestoga Coach in Pa. Thanks! PD4104-960 was delivered new in March of 1954 as fleet number E-5406 to New England Greyhound Lines, HQ'd in Boston, MA. Back then, Greyhound kept their coaches 10 years, usually selling them off in the fall after the summer season. In this unit's case, that would have been sometime after Labor Day on 1964 when it was sold to what the industry calls a "second-tier" operator. FWIW & HTH. . .

Doug,
Not sure what that number would be, but I can easily say that is not the vin. The vin is usually listed as an example my bus: 41042240.
Good try though, they did not respond to another busnut on another inquiry of the bus.

I've got nothing to add, it's not on any list I have other than the delivery list. But I am happy to add another surviving bus to the list.

Thanks guys, The Keeper of the Checkbook says I can't make an offer on it. If someone is looking for a 4104 this would be a good one. It even has all the marker lights and none are cracked. Needs to be brought back from the brink....
