Slight problem

Is your fresh water tank on the left in that photo?
I am thinking about going cheap and using one of the 35 gallon poly barrels I have behind the barn.  I did that with a 55 gallon for the gray and it works perfectly.  I can cut one of the bungs out of the poly barrel and tap screw a flange over the hole.  Then put the gate valve I have on that flange.

Yes, in the top photo, the fresh water tank is on the left.  Would 35 gallons be enough fresh water.  Guess that depends on what you're using the bus for.

i have around 135 gallons fresh water... and that isnt enough...

Round tanks waste a lot of space. We have 45 Black, 45 Grey, 45 fresh. 3 showers, dish washing, etc and the water is gone in the fresh tank and the grey is full. Black we can get 10 days out of. We carry (5) 5 gallon bottles we fill up at the health food store with purified water. Those we use for food that is not boiled and drinking water. We just put 1 in the pantry on the floor with a battery operated pump. on the top of the bottle. It will last us about 7 days per bottle. We get the water for .23 gallon. Would like 100 gallon fresh and 100 gallon grey but is no more room.
Also some have a Water diverter valve on their shower drain that can dump the shower water under the coach while you shower. Hook up a pull chain from inside to pull when needed.

I have a round 125 gallon vegtable oil tank in one bay and a 55 gallon round poly tank next to it for gray water.  In the next bay is a 75 gallon round poly for fresh water.  Next to it is the elongated black tank.  I like your two square tanks.  The system you built looks well though out. 

For a quick fix I am going to go with round poly that I have.   I am shooting for retirement in 4.4 years.  Yes 4.4 and some days to be exact.  It will take us a year to finish the barndominium.  Then I plan on breaking the bus down and refabricating some things.   I will probably use your ideas there as a model.

gee Ace I though that was what I gave an opinion, and mine is that I had tried it with round barrel tanks and I lost a lot of space as compared to square or rectangular ones, besides having to crib them and such to keep them in place.
