My indoor storage rental plan fell thru, because all the places that offer that in my area are full. So now I'm trying to chase down some leaks and get things sealed up good in the event I have to store outdoors. I have a southern bus, and this is its first winter in Oregon.
Did the 4107's as stock have a gasket above the bay door when the OEM rubber hinge was used? I have some bays with the rubber hinge, and others with an aftermarket metal hinge. It doesn't seem like an additional gasket was stock, but the PO had put various ones in on my rig. I'm getting some water in the bays above the door at the wood floorboards, particularly at the bulkhead ends. I'm trying to determine if the water is migrating there from the bay door, or coming from above on the body, windows, or roof somewhere. I've seen neglected examples with these areas rotted out, and I certainly don't want that to happen to me. It could be condensation too, but right now I'm putting in new gaskets in the areas pictured as a precaution. Thoughts on this?
