I posted earlier regarding the pulley size I should use with a Niehoff A1-750 I recently purchased. Thanks for the suggestions. I did contact Niehoff and they confirmed the Max RPM is 8,000. They recommended a pulley size of 3:1.

Now the hard part; finding a pulley. When I measured the shaft I came up with .785, plus or minus. Maybe it is 20mm? I would think I could find a pulley online. No luck so far. Anyone know a source for alternator pulleys. I don't want to change the 8V92 pulley over to a serpentine belt and will be going with 2 or 3 V belts. Approximately 3" diameter.

Have you tried Smiths Co Electrical in Greeley Co 1-888-860-4339 they may have a web site I just call, most of the speed shops like Summit Racing may have the correct pulley 

Try Blanchard Electric  www.blanchardelectric.com they will have one or can get you one or make one from a pulley blank

If the shaft is smooth or with just a plain key any machinist can make you a pulley quite easily.

For me the 1st  big question would be, the drive belt(s), multi groove or a couple V belts, so the  drivier pulley might also need to be changed, depending on engine, rpm of the driver pulley, the size of the driven pulley would be a simple issue to figure for tha 8000 rpm of the rotor.  All normal & easy once you figure the needed belt configuration, would perfer the multi groove if possible.
Is this a 12 Volt or 24 Volt setup ?,

Where are you going to drive it from on the engine the cam shaft,crankshaft or a auxiliary drive the cam drive on a 8v92 is pretty much etched in stone being 6 inches the crank drive lots to work with there from 5 inch up to 10 inch if you have a the bolt on type hub for pulleys not much changing you can do with cast pulleys
