This is why we're putting a new option on the new Freightliners. If you open your door and the parking brake is not set, the electric horn will start honking. Believe me-it has stopped roll aways. Good Luck, TomC

It seems to me that we might all consider such a system on our coaches. Not that we would ever make a mistake... I don't think it would be too hard to adapt.

I once had a close call.  I pulled into a parking lot and must have not set the brake.  When I got out of my seat and went for the door, I noticed the building next to me was moving.  My first thought was, "How did they do that?"  Fortunately, my next thought was the answer to that question, and I was able to stop before I rolled into my wife in the Jeep, who was following me.  Also fortunately, she still doesn't know about it.

Well evidently it's not the first Setra that has been swimming.

When Booger (or ex-mechanic) were out in Salt Lake City a few years back for a training course on the 417's.
I asked just how strong the pull pin holes in the back bumper and on the front were.

The class instructor smiled and said "strong enough to lift it out of the port when it gets dropped overboard while loading!"

We all looked at him funny and before anyone could ask. He told us "yes we have learned that from experience and I have seen pictures of it being lifted from the rear straight up and down with water gushing out of everywhere.

I asked if the VIN ended in 245 or 246 by any chance. Wink Wink
