You should consider a short flexible hose on both sides of the pump. With all the road vibration its a good idea not to mention if you have the noisy pipes when the pump runs it helps considerably.

Hey it's probably good you stepped on the nail.  If you had driven over it you would have had a flat tire to fix which would likely be a road service call...maybe a new tire.  The tetanus shot was probably cheaper.

Definitely going to put flexible hose on either side of pump now...good idea.

And yes, the nail in the foot was less painful than the nail in the tire would have been  Grin
