Hey guys there will be a great NRG (non rally gathering) in Arizona this January near Scottsdale.  The NRG will coincide with collector car auction week.  Several auctions happen then including the big Barrett-Jackson-Scottsdale.  The dates do not conflict with Quartzsite or Indio rallys. Come one, come all for neat buses, friends, weather and collector cars.

This is not an organized rally, nor sanctioned by any club. Just a great group of people getting together at a beautiful place with wonderful weather.  Everyone is free to do their own thing.  The particulars:

DATES:   January 11-17/2014.  Plus or minus as many days as you wish.  Barrett-Jackson starts Jan. 12 which is
family day with cheaper entrance fee.  Vehicles and other items are auctioned later in the week and
package entrance fees are available.  Several other auctions happen that week nearby.

PLACE:    The NRG will be at McDowell Mountain Regional Park which is located about 4 miles north of the city of
Fountain Hills, AZ.  Fountain Hills is about 20 minutes east of Scottsdale and the Westworld complex where
the Barrett-Jackson auction takes place.  This is a Maricopa County park, a 20,000 acre natural area with
miles of trails through pristine desert and cactus, beautiful campground with paved roads, no dust, 50A
hookups and all the amenities. Dark and quiet at night, large spaces spaced far apart.  The price is $25.00
per day with 14 day max stay.  You can reserve spaces online or by phone.  The website is:
              www.maricopa.gov/parks/mcdowell/                 phone is 480-471-0173
You can pick your spot and view pictures of each space online.  As of today there are still a few spaces
available but they will surely fill up soon.

Information on the Barrett-Jackson and other auctions is readily available on the internet.  There is a very nice casino nearby at Fort McDowell community and one of the auctions is held at the casino.  Great buses and cars, come one, come all and tell your friends.  Nothing better than Arizona in January, folks!  Quite a few busnuts have already booked, see you there.

As of today there are still a few spots left at the park for the NRG.  Escape the rain, snow and cold.  Come on over and enjoy some cool cars and buses.
