i finally got an Onan for my bus yesterday.
I made the mistake of taking the panel off and it sparked. Looks like some of it was going to F1 fuse what ever that is for.
But now it will not start and will not click. Both fuses are good. Please help me I am very sad right now. ;-(
Help please?

Right under the starter button is the fuel pump. I had a problem with mine stumbling once in a while, so I removed the bottom of the pump (big channel locks and it comes loose) and cleaned the filter screen inside. It was almost plugged solid.

GREAT!!!!! NOW MY DAY IS RUINED! I took the panel off where the start button is and the F1 fuze started sparking because the panel was grounding it out. Both the fuzes are fine but no power to the starter now. What did I do?

disconnect the battery before you do any further damage.... I am thinking that you probably have not destroyed your genset...but you need to call someone before you do....

I do not know the equipment, but it is possible that there is another fuse somewhere? If you found that there is no power to the starter, did you check to see if there is power to the switch or a relay if there is one?

You fired the board more than likely look for a burn spot on the board if it burnt buy a Dinosaur board they cost a lot less than a Onan and are a better board those don't have a separate starter it's built into the generator head

Fixed it! I got lucky. It was a bad wire going from the hot part of the solenoid to the ignition fuse.

Now I just need to cut a hole in the floor for the vent, vent in bay door, and gas tank in next bay over.
Ohyeah... and hook it up to my xantrex RV3012 inverter. Will telephone line work for that? Anyone know off hand where the wires go in the plug on the generator?
