Hey Techie: I recently read an article written by you on Jan. 22 2014 about and evaluating the Verizon MHS291L "jetpack". I am finding that Verizon no longer makes this unit available and later produced units are having software problems and shorter battery lives. I am very interested in using a jetpack type device for my future travels and am looking for a comparable hotspot device within the Verizon family. Whacha think??>>>Dan Undecided

Have you been to their facebook page, Internet for RVers?  They have a ton of information there.

I use a cradlepoint which you can use almost all USB data cards in. Great units, wireless and wired connections.

Dan -

http://www.technomadia.com/

There's a link on their site to email Chris & Cherie directly.

I know they're in the process of updating their mobile internet info, so what you're asking about may already be obsolete, with something better either in the works or already out there.

(Hey, look at that - I used all three forms of they're, their and there in that sentence!)

PC mag. was where I got the best reviews on the one "Jetpack" I wanted, of the four that Verizon offered. This one was above all else, so as per usual they discontinued it and  push the junk.>L>>Dan  ( On Jan. 22 2014, Technomadia wrote a positive and glowing report on the MHS291L)
