Hi All, less than a month till that Dam Rally! I hope a lot of you are able to make it, Van may have to redirect a rock band to the rally before driving them to the MGM Grand Garden,  we may have to link all of our generators,  to provide stage power for an impromptu lakeside jam session! Saturday evening will be the Dam bash, where we all getogether for a shared dinner and hoot n nanny! If you think your gonna bring something,  note it here so everyone will get an idea of what's already planned. Tom, lvmci.

Tom - what are the dates?  I've got 2 shows over the next 40 days in Vegas.  Wish I could drive down.  Wifey is begging for some dessert weather right about now.

Hi Sean, sorry had a 13 hr day yesterday. Boulder city on the 17th, has hi 65/47 some clouds, sprinkles late Sunday the 18th, Lake will be a little warmer. It would be great to see you and the family. Check with Jeanine at the RV park to see if there are spaces. This show I did yesterday had a head sound and a stagehand who both had bus conversions in the past, the head sound is enthusiastic about the MCI6 and Gary Bennett's Eagle, a cameraman just bought a 1940 GMC that was Waylon Jennings, I think he said. Gilbert from G&R, my mechanic, wants to come by and it would be great for you to come to our little trip to willow beach on the Arizona side of Lake Mojave, to see if it's suitable for the next Dam Rally. Doing anything interesting? Hope to get to see you, tom...

Tom, a little clarification of "nice ride".  lets see, bicycle, bike, quad, double decker bus (with calliope of course)  or just Gary's rental car?  I forgot piggy back. Ha. Cheesy  Jack

Hi Jack, just an old fashioned wheeled bipedal,  using your legs to give your butt a ride! Don't forget,  we're going to check out the road to willow beach, to see if older buses can handle the beautiful.scenery, tom lvmci...

I plan to burn a tire in the fire ring--it'll keep us warm and hold down the mosquitoes.  Baring 40 mph winds we'll be there Friday.  Too much fun!  Jack

Hi All, another That Dam Rally, has come to a successful end. Fun was had by all, the food was great, everyone contributed to the incredible cuisine fit for the king and queen of the shindig,  Billy Van and Cheryl. the weather was a little windy at first but Starlit nights and clear days full of sunshine, made everyone's day, a shooting star caught my attention, I jumped up and over Kenny and Lisa, Peter & Yvonne, Russell & Lynn and Jerry & Delight to grab Nicky, dip her backward and gave her a smack right on the lips. Ron and Merediths Prevost conversion had everyone's attention and he got lots of ataboys and pats on the back, especially with how Ron was able to bring his 52' bus to everyones front door to look at It! Tyke had everyone's rapt attention with his stories about his life as a young man, what an amazing story! Van told the now classic story about his days with the NSA and Gary's flirting with the bikini clad sunbathers didn't go unnoticed by the wifes. We took a little convoy to the Arizona side of Lake Mojave, there's a bordello there, but Gary was short of cash, so we were able to leave after a short bit.
There was some great guest appearances by Gary Bennett and Dale Houston,  Gary was able to give the long sought advice on how to create a bus interior out of teak wood and Dale gave an impromptu song fest with some of his out of this world, alien music.
Sonja gave all takers a ride on her recumbent bike, what an experience with five of us on her bike! Clifford gave a hands-on demonstration on how to slide an 8V71 off it's cradle on to a piano dolly, and reinstall the drive shaft with just one hand! Ed and Janet gave a demonstration of their Spanish Flamenco dance, what a graceful duo. And Matts puppy got some luv from everyone.
   What a weekend! lvmci...

Thanks Jack so great seeing you and Lorna, her pie was gone in minutes and your always gracious showing your bus, how many times have you been asked if the pop up roof was standard equipment in the 1930s Chevy school bus? tom...

This was our second and what a great time it was. No hassle no schedule just a great bunch of people, as at every other bus rally, sorry to see it end. We will be there next year, now on to Quartzsite, then Buck Trout's rally. And especially Bile Van for the jeep ride on the other side of the road, want to do more of that.

ED,,  Quartzsite is shaping up to be another biggy as always and will be well attended by bus nuts from all over,.. As an FMCA Chapter we will be presented this year with an award celebrating our 30th year as a chapter of FMCA.. One of our members has been with FMCA for 48 years and counting,, Most of our attendees drive in,, but some get hauled in on the "big trailer" What ever floats your boat..>>>Dan

Hey Dan some of us like to make a big show when we get there, not to many people knew us before last year but they do now.
If you can't baffle them with B/S dazzle them with brilliance. We were determined to get there.
