1951 GMC PD4103-125

Hey Folks,

My wife and I just purchased a 1951 GMC PD4103, number 125. We've already had it out to the racetrack (Virginia International Raceway) for a weekend of fun and it was a hit! Especially since we parked it across from our friend who owns a 1951 Beck!  Grin  We had more people stop by to see it and get the nickel tour.

I'm interested in attempting to slowly put the bus back to as close to original as I can and I'm in search of pictures and parts. The pictures are so I can tell where things go, and the parts are to replace what has disappeared over the years. Undecided The switch panel to the left of the driver has been butchered to add the genny remote panel and had several extra holes drilled in it, and is missing switchgear so I'm looking for the correct panel and a photograph to see what switches should go there.

Also the left side of the gauge cluster in front of the steering wheel is not correct. I have what I believe is the original Air Pressure gauge and it still works, but it is pretty beat up. I've also got an oil pressure guage and water temp guage, but they are modern guages and don't quyite fit. I'm looking for an original left side panel and a source for authentic gauges. Does anyone know who manufactured the gauges for GMC at that time? The right side panel appears to be intact and has all the switches and they all still work.

Thanks a bunch,

- John

John,
I have the original dash panel here somewhere, I think, I also have the original oil and amp guage, and many of the dash lights and idiot lights.
Your welcome to them.
I also have the original A/C and heater rheostats that you can have.
