OK y'all I just booked 11 bus trips today! And just what does this have to do with the Bus Bash? you ask!

Well on Friday 09/07/07 there are gonna be 2 buses (not 1 but 2 buses) rolling outta this here quite little spot in the country where the BUS BASH is gonna be going up to Metropolis, IL (Home of Superman, and Harrah's Metropolis Casino) to work for Harrah's for the day taking some goofers oopps I meant golfers up to Vienna, IL to Gambit Golf Club and back! Now I personally have been there done that when it comes to throwing my $ away at casino's (and don't care for it), but Metropolis is also as I said the home of Superman!  And a pretty cool little town with civil war history, and other tourist type things going on! So the point is any early comers who'd like a to take a day trip up to Metropolis are welcome to jump on either empty bus before it pulls out heading up there and we would be glad to pick you up and bring you home too! And if any of you such as NCBob are goofers (use this as an excuse to get Sarge to let ya come Bob! y'all can go sight seeing, and she could go shopping {I promose if she wants too mom and I'm sure other ladies would keep her company!} or to the tables an you could go goofing!), and would like to go GOOOFING let me know and I'll find out from Cindy what it takes to allow a couple stow aways on the bus! (BUT YA GOTTA LET ME KNOW SO I CAN CHECK IT OUT!)
OK just a thought for a little Friday excursion into the land of Superman!

Bryce, m'friend....after playing 'Cow Pasture Pool' here in the mountains yesterday I woke up this morning with nearly every bone and muscle in my poor old body screaming for relief!

It appears to me that I'm no longer a Walker bear dog...able to run up and down these mountains like my a$$ was on fire chasing either a bear OR a white ball!  There comes a time in every mans' life when he has to realize that he's not the cock of the walk anymore....

I truly believe it's time that I found some young man, perhaps in our local High School, who has a desire to play my favorite sport and does not have the resources to buy a decent set of clubs....and should I find him...I will gladly offer my treasures to him free of charge...providing he is honest in his intent.  I wouldn't wish to see my classic Ben Hogan persimmon woods wrapped around a tree at our local course...but I digress......

All of your temptations intrigue me...but the final word is...we cannot make it this time. When my wife's old maiden aunt passes and leaves her all that money.......right......

      Sounds like an interesting bit of excursion.  Since we'll probably roll in late Thursday, the boss (wife) asks, about what time will the buses be leaving?

 Planning on leaving wed morning for BK's bash. Any suggestions for a rout and a good campground about half way. I prefer not to use the great interstate Hy system but the good old blue byways.

Leaving Lenoir NC. also would like some traveling companions if any one is headed that way from NC.

Jerry the buses will need to roll out about 9:00 AM to make sure they are "spoted on the job on time"! Anyone here is welcome to hop on at no charge! Of course no one has mentioned any more about the pasture pool, so I have not called Cindy and inquired about it!   BK
