I just put a shutoff switch in my bay for my 2000 watt inverter as I found that it was drawing 3.5 amps all the time off my 3 8D acid deep cycle batteries. I have a link 1000 remote in the bus and it was drawing off 3.5 amps even with the inverter shutoff upstairs. I have a 75 amp charger and it seems to be charging O.K. My question is: How fast should this charger recharge the batteries as it seems to go 12.15 to 12.20 and so on. It will end at 12.65 at 100% charge. Does this seem to be working O.K.Huh Thanks for any comments.

If your charger doesn't go above 12.65 volts your batteries will never be fully charged.  The charger needs to get to 13.2 volts as an absolute minimum and at this voltage it will take several weeks to achieve full charge.  The reason for three state charging is to shorten the time to achieve full charge.  If your charger were to go to 14.4 volts your batteries would be fully charged with 3 hours at 14.4.  A three state charger would hold the 75 amps until 14.4 volts, then hold 14.4 volts for 3 hours then drop back to 13.2 to maintain them.
