OK, that should fix the banners.  My copy of those images was cached from when I was working on stuff on the old server.

As far as chat, that will be a new chat package which we will get started testing now that the problems w/ the main BBS are fixed (well, they seem to be fixed anyways..  Shocked  )

The old package should still be available via links @ one of the sticky posts.

Hope this helps, Phil

Thanks, Phil,

My link that goes directly to the Chatroom and gives a full sized screen is:

http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/chat/flashchat.php

Right now there is no tab at the top for the chatroom. I hope to see a lot more people there, now!

Thanks Dallas - yes, if it starts taking more than a week or two to test, install, etc., the new chat, then I'll be sure to get the tab back at the top of the page, along w/ links showing who is in chat.

Thanks for keeping me in line!!!  Grin  Cheesy

Best Regards, Phil

Hi Richard, if you go to :

Profile -> Look and Layout Preferences -> Time Offset (heading) ->

Then click :  -> (auto detect)
to fix the timezone offset, does that fix the problem ?

Both servers are in the same timezone, but It was off this morning by about 17 hrs (thx HighTech).

Let me know - Phil
Yep. That fixed it. Thanks again for all your help.

Another trivial detail:  The news line at the top just announced "BBS DOWN @ 9:15 PM CDT tonight!!! "  I presume that was leftover from Friday night.

To the modern day Gurus of the MAK board: I have publicly acknowledged your good work on my own bulletin board, but I think it would be much more sincere if I left you the same message here:

I have to say that Phil has done an incredible job at keeping the continuity of www.busconversions.com/bbs intact - certainly something I couldn't do myself here during my recent upgrade, as I was learning on the fly.

Congrats to the #1 show on the internet. We appreciate your longevity and tenacity. Thanks also to Nick and Jack and any other moderators I've missed!

Good work, lads!

Thank you Ian,

Coming from you that means a lot.  I have a deep respect for how well you manage busnut.com.  Both technically, and the classy way you interact with your members.   I definetly tune in from time to time to learn.  Thanks for keeping an eye on us!   Grin

Kind Regards, Phil
