One of the nice things you can use the emergency flapper valve is if you're parking in a questionable spot, hit the button for the emergency stop (nice to test it every so often also).  Then no one except those in the know can start the bus.  That is of course if the emergency stop flapper is easy to get to.  This only applies to 71 series (some of the turbo engines did not have them either).  If you have a 92 series or any other engine, no emergency stop exsists.  Detroit redesigned the 92's with a return spring on the rack that should not it allow it to stick.  Good Luck, TomC
