McCain's bus, the "Straight Talk Express" got an ouchy in Miami. The link below takes you to some amateur footage at the scene afterwards. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-56528Let's limit the political banter, guys.

I'm just glad it wasn't the Eagle! Looks like he should have checked his tire pressure.

Looks like the driver did not check his right mirror before turning. Wonder if John McCain was on board at the time. Jack

Since we're just guessing, here's my guess. The driver tried to leave room between the bus and curb to make the corner and the idiot in the blue car tried to fill the gap.

I wonder if one of them "little fellers" was sneaking up on the right as the drivier was swinging wide to make a right turn, and then got squished.

Bus drivers who watch their mirrors while turning just make a dent in the side when they hit something.
Bus drivers who drag something almost half the length of the side of the coach aren't looking at anything...
Busnuts, when do your eyes leave the mirror and glue themselves to the windshield....?
happy coaching! buswarrior

In New York, student bus operators are taught NOT to swing wide when making a right turn. Too much chance of some of idiot sneaking in and there seem to be more and more of those on the road every day.
True story: Bus making a right turn under elevated train structure in the Bronx. Before he can complete his turn a taxi zooms in and tries to squeeze by on the right side. He doesn't make it. Cabbie jumps out and yells, "Hey, didn't you see this yellow cab?" Bus driver steps off the bus and asks, "Didn't you see this 40 foot bus?"
Luckily a cop as on the next corner and saw the whole thing.

they have been passing my truck that way for years.
I have been lucky and caught one of them on a right hand turn (TX) and one on a left hand turn (CA) both times in front of cops & escorts. Never had to do any paper work, and they did not get to my driving record either time.

Looks like the bus faired better than the blue van! Although it will be expensive to fix it won't cost Mc Cain that much, just the fund that supports him. Poor bus driver didn't see him coming. That's always scary making right turns in our monsters. Just glad no one was hurt, al least it appears that way. Paul
